Never a dull moment

My suggestion is to replace the no fishing signs with NO TRESSPASSING signs. Then the issue has nothing to do with fishing rights...

Just put nets across the the outer section of the mouth of the creek blocking the mouth and let the eyes spawn over the rocks.  Or. …. Have several bus loads of SPORTSMEN get their boots on and pack the creek.

Just read in the newspaper that the Akwesasne are vowing to come back
There was a bill introduced to stop that
But the empress vetoed it , 🤬

I stopped watching the news over 10 years ago when my oldest was born. Got sick of the negative and slanted nonsense. I don’t think I’ve missed anything important since then!  ;D

Perhaps im wrong but the bill she vetoed last year would have allowed what there doing spearing, netteing , and no season or limits I know OLA was against the bill , by no means am I a fan of hers. Or maybe there was another bill I didnt know about,

You have it right Oneida1. The bill would have made things like this spearing issue even harder to enforce. She was encouraged to veto the bill and she actually did, which was a shocker.

http://In November 2021, DEC instructed conservation officers not to enforce hunting and fishing regulations on Native Americans “engaged in subsistence activities” except under certain conditions, including fishing on spawning beds or near fish hatcheries, according to an internal memo obtained by the Oneida Lake Association and published on its Facebook page.
