It is for sure. I’ll get some pics from the tees as we play tomorrow.
If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.

Not a golfer but sure looks nice.
Any fish in the water hazards?
Years ago we went to Nick Faldos resort in Florida with all my in-laws.  They all brought there clubs. I brought a fishing pole.. ;D ;D

That water system is huge Dom. It spans a couple thousand acres. Saw a big pike in the backwaters today. During our recent flood there were carp swimming on the 18th fairway. I’ve seen no less than two dozen snapping turtle nests dug into the edges of bunkers. There’s deer in numbers you wouldn’t believe. I’ve seen does with single, twin and triplets.

Rabbits everywhere and fox to keep them in check. Everything on and around the course is designated “forever wild” and has been since the community was begun some 30 years ago.

and people like to try and sell that golf courses are bad for the environment  :rotflol:  our course is the same, full of birds, deer, elk, bear, coyotes and wolves...you name it.

conditions look great rg but that first picture looks like some dew whippin is in order..

when do you guys start winterizing the course down there?  up here we were just recently told that we're hosting a pga event second week in september when we have a skeleton crew of 7-8 guys and usually start our winterizing.  THAT should be interesting!
got a fish on the line and my boat on the water
and it's gettin' near time to take the cows to the slaughter

I started on the front. The greens and fairways guys started on the back. No notes on the board that it was reverse order today. No matter though. It all got done.

I’m not really sure what the closing schedule will be. Like a lot of courses around here, it went from private to semi-private to public over the course of time. I imagine the new owners will encourage play for as long as they possibly can. We shall see.

Mowed fairways for the first time today. Tournament going on and 2 kids decide not to show up.

Can’t say I was perfection, but we got it done ahead of the players.

My Son said we “old guys” saved their ass. Nice to be appreciated.

There is a 9 hole golf course just down the road. One of the oldest in NYS. A guy from down state bought it a few years ago, remodeled the club house then closed it so he could put condos on it. He got a lot of kick back and now it just sets there, not opened, but kept mowed so HE can play it....h2l

That’s what I call a “Private” course.

Well…tomorrow morning my Son is gonna teach me how to cut cups on the course.

How special is that when your Son can teach you something new…..that he’s an expert at….really…an expert.

Talk about “quality time”….. I’m a lucky guy.

That's pretty cool, took a long time before I could teach my dad something.
