Hit the water about 08:00 got some big macks in the live we’ll, then proceeded to slow troll through the rough stuff.
The first 5 were just under keeper size, but the following 7 ranged from 34” to this hefty 44”er. At 37#
My uncle and I were doubled up,he with a 36 and me with this guy. What a blast. I didn’t intend on keeping her, but could not revive her. I was disappointed with that, but it happens.

Massive striper!  I've never come close to that.  Congrats.  No worries about needing to keep her.  Like you say, it happens. Your high angling ethic and concern are appreciated 8)
