My prized fish of the summer
« on: Aug 06, 2006, 07:55 PM »

I caught this huge Amur Carp fishing in south carolina. drifting peices of corn over sand flats going for catfish. six pound test fireline and a small fenwick rod and quentam spinning reel.

chased it for a good 15 minutes with the motor and finaly caught it, snapped a picture and realesed it.

guessing between 50-60 pounds

wahoo!

That things huge....and on what sounds like UL gear
Chasing them pigs with fins!

AK isn't coming soon enough....can't wait to fight with 1 grizzly for 100,000 fish instead of 1,000 snaggers for 10.

I got one of those once at a buddy of mine family pond. (not as big though) Funny thing was, it hit a floating rapala, and when i got it in, my bud said Id better get it loose cuz his uncle would kill him if he saw it on our lines, guess he paid for all of them in the pond to keep the weeds down.

Great catch Neal!! :clapping:

BTW, rubbing the slime on your chest won't help you grow chest hair. :rotflol:
