Total Solar Eclipse 4/8/24
« on: Mar 07, 2024, 12:24 PM »
Just ordered 10 pair of eclipse glasses for family and friends. Can’t wait. Looks to be a decent viewing day and I’m in the catbird seat of locations.

Once in a lifetime. Have seen 2 partial eclipses, never a total. If you’re in NYS you’ve got a great opportunity. I’ll have the camera set up for sure.
If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.

Also ordered a filter for my camera. My son ordered a filter for the Celestron Telescope I gave him. I’m getting anxious.

I have never seen one. The school my daughters attend is giving then an excused absence if they want to see it. I have to drive about an hour and half to get to a better spot. Fortunately there is a lake I like to fish in the direct path.

Once in a lifetime chance to see something real and natural. No digital enhancements. Just life at its purest.

I’ll send you some solar glasses if you want. You really should take it in.

Some people are getting crazy like when it turned to the year 2000. I think it’s going to be kool. My future brother in law is crazy into photography and can’t wait. I’ve been working on hardwood picture frames. Hopefully we can combine

Back when there was all the hype about Y2K I didn’t pay any mind to it at all. This is real and something new for this almost 74 year old.

Hope that changes.

Might be a good time to be out on a lake and see if it impacts the bite

Even if it’s cloudy that’s going to make it darker..
