I'm gonna try it again tomorrow morning. Worked pretty well last week. So, what the heck.

Aaaaaaa......yeah.......

I'll be using the mighty 6" red wriggler flies first thing this morning. A.k.a.   Worms!

Later I'll switch over to the fly stick ;D

Had a great morning with the fly rod. Perch, crappies, bass and even a carp. It hit a Double Martini and took off like a guided missile for parts unknown.....my fly and leader firmly attached. It was a short encounter.

Tons of fun with the new 10' 6 wt. what a nice boat rod ;D

seen a ton of barn swallows flying all over the river like flies on a dump truck ...that means a good hatch ...I didn't have time to check it out but my guess would be caddis ......blue gills should be on tomorrow

Huge caddis hatches on the canal lately. Shucks littered the surface last Saturday. I'm guessing the cool temperatures may have slowed that up a bit.
