Tightened Fasteners
« on: Jul 21, 2019, 01:12 PM »
In the boat.
When you use your boat on lakes that have >1' waves (white caps usually start at about 2'), things loosen.
Today I went up into the boat and tightened things back up.
What a job.
First, because it looks like rain and T-storms, I left the boat in the garage.
Low ceiling, and no breeze.
Gotta crawl around on your hands and knees dripping sweat.
Good workout I guess.
But I got er done!
Also topped off the air in the Air Waves pedestal on my chair.
It was a little low.
That pedestal allows me to fish in the rough stuff without being laid up for days or weeks after being out.
$900 but worth every darn penny.

Sure wish I had a cold beer or 3.

I'll go have a bottle of sugar free green tea instead.

Good on you for keeping up with, any boat, even 50" tuna  boat will shake itself appart if you let it...every bolt or nut I install in metal gets blue loc-tite, every screw in wood or fiber glass gets silicone or bedding compound..I hate finding screws in the bilge...

As for your choice of beverage, I like my beer..but only after the work is done.

Try some vodka and ruby red!

If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.

There is no liquor here either Bob.
It's all at the lake during the summer.
There are 2 cans of Bub Light in the fridge.
Saw them when I dug out the green tea.
But I resisted the urge.

Hit all the fasteners on trailers too. Was able to get full turns on a few on my venture trailer this spring.
