Title: Gill fishing 10/27/20
Post by: princecraft on Oct 28, 2020, 10:42 AM
Got out yesterday morning from 8:30-12:15. It was sleeting when I got there and pretty much had a cold rain the rest of the morning.  Caught these 25 fishing in 42 fow using crickets. My hands got so cold I could hardly put a cricket on the hook.

42 fow.  Anywhere from 3 feet off bottom all the way up to 32 feet off bottom.

Good show prince. Was a nasty day here Tuesday.
I went duck hunting Wednesday at Kankakee. Saw about 6 ducks total and heard about same number of shot. Shot one Woody and missed a Black. All ducks are still a ways north. Should be here soon?

Ya we need a push bad !! I heard the kank only killed 108 birds opening day . Pretty pitiful for that property. Lack of water is my guess. Hopefully the temps drop and we get some good over night north blows! And way to go on finding those gills ! Always wanted to try and find them deep but always busy in the woods this time of yr. Stay on them while u can
