Help in Finger lakes NY

I want to get a few channel cats. It has been 4 years since I have fished for them really, and I wife wants to get some.  Can someone help me in where to go.. I understand the Canal is good but where should I go.  thanks all Reuben

Try the river off scottsville road where black creek runs into it .
It's rite by 84 lumber .
I used to do real well there but I haven't gotten out that way for a couple of years . Their are some nice eyes in there too .
