sinking braid
« on: Jun 23, 2008, 07:45 AM »
I was thinking that I read on here some time ago about one of the braided line brands now being made so they sink better than the original stuff. I was fishing over the weekend and using unweighted super flukes. When using mono just the weight of the hook helped them sink. When I switched to 10/2 fire line to get better hook sets they just didn't want to sink at all. I've ran into this before with other fishing situations but now would like to cure it and I think that sinking braid would maybe do that. Anyone have any line suggestions?

Not a line but adding a small finish nail to the bait will help.

esp sinklink is sinking braid, designed as hooklength material for carp fishing, i use it all the time. Also most of the coated braids sink (kryston snakebite etc)   www.newworldcarp.com carry them both i think. Prob a bit late from your post date, but there we go! small amounts of tungston putty will work too, but sinking braids better
