Ahh, I’m a hot dog snob. It’s zweigles or it’s not a hot dog. I’ll admit to eating at Ted’s when I was working in Buffalo. Not too bad….but not Zweigles.

Again, I’ll ask - whites?

Sometimes. I used to send them to my Son In a law when he lived in Vegas. No sign of Zweigles Whites,in that part of the world. They never heard of a white hot dog. They Don’t know what a hot dog should be .

I really prefer the reds. Red Wing Stadium has a vendor that serves the 1/3 lb reds and whites. Can’t get them in the stores. A real ballpark special.

I work on the smokehouses at Zweigles.
Here at Sahlens and the others in Buffalo too.
I won’t eat anything other than Sahlens or Zweigles because I’ve seen what goes into them.  Period!

Yea, white hots rule.
And only Zweigles makes them correctly.

I’ve had Sahlens. They’re ok. Too much beef taste  for me.

I loved the billboard at the ballpark facing the Zweigles plant saying Sahlens were the official hot dog of the ball team there.  This was 7-8 yrs back.

I asked Kevin Salva, Zweigles President, about it one day while he and I were out in the parking lot chatting.  He just rolled his eyes and admitted that it never should have happened.  Funny.

Don’t think I ever saw a Sahlens dog at the park. Probably the $1.00 hot dog night fare.

Both Sahlens and Zweigels are decent…..Hoffman’s are better though, but gotta get the fresh ones, not the vacuum sealed crap…

 Beef roast getting ready for the smoker.   And might run down to the butcher and get some sausage and stuff some of the cherry peppers I have in the garden to throw in there…   Just because I can….

Then I’ll wrap the ribs with a little apple juice added to finish and tenderize.  I’ll do that for 3 hrs @ 225

Beans get stirred every 60 minutes, or so.
