That's one fat brown. The browns here are much skinnier usually, but I have caught a few that are foot-ball shaped in the gunny mostly

Did you keep it or release it? It was a female full of eggs almost for sure.

That is a great Brown man!!  If I had fall fishing like that close by I'd quit hunting. :o

TFB, only wny angler knows for sure but, I'd bet that fish is heading for the dinner table and at the same time supplying LOTS of sacs for winter steelhead fishing. ;)  Mmmm,  steelhead love those brown trout eggs. ;D

for the most part i release all the brown trout i catch except for a few big females i keep for my bait supply- steelhead just love brown trout egg sacs.
i kept the eggs and gave the fish to someone that wanted to smoke it- myself i'd rather have a big juicy steak than a fish fry   ::)

heres a nice male brown i caught and released this weekend - males are a lot more colored up and have big hook jaws

This is making me mad!!! My river is unusually muddy this fall :'( its unfishable because we have been getting nonstop rain. Today is the first sunny day in a while :-\ Hopefully here in a few days I can go and the fish will really be hammering. The browns might just start to be stirring to spawn in the colorado.

Those are some beautiful browns wny. That last hookjawed male looks like a lot of the spawners in the Colorado River when they stage at the creek mouths and enter the tributary streams. Thankfully the CDOW banned fishing for them when they spawn. People used to snag and keep tons of 3 - 15 pound browns and rainbows when they were spawning. One guy was staying at the mouth of a creek and snagging the running whitefish, and kept four browns, all over 4 pounds, with one 9 pound, handsome hookjawed male.  >:( >:( >:( >:(. Needless to say I was not happy. The weather is turning clear and crisp hear again, so the river will clear up from all these rains. Time to catch some bigguns.

The biggest brown i ever caught was 4 pounds when i was 10 years old. Which was right before i moved to alaska and i have not been brown fishing since. My uncle however caught a 22 pounder in Fish Lake, Utah.
I've never been to heaven, but i have fished  in  Alaska.

In a stream 6 ft. wide that's probably equivalent to like a 20 pounder :D Great fish and thanks for sharing ;)
