Top notch photography there bassjunky, very cool shots indeed. I have seen a few sucker and pike runs that were interesting but nothing like that.

Man I did not really realize how big the steelhead were in that river until I saw one of the Ministry guys holding a fish, they are darn big.

I bet quite a few of there injuries are from colliding with the wall or fall back into the water and hitting sharp rocks or concrete.

Yes, I agree, you would not beleive the sound it makes when they slam into cemenet.

I dont know if you can tell but they hang rubber mats around the cememnt to cushion the blow. But it still injures a ton of fish

If they hung heavier mats, farther away from the wall do you think that might help?

I think the mats do their job, I think more injuries are caused by either missing the mat or trying the worng route...alot of the fish were attempting to go up the falls in stead of using the ladder.
