JEEP TRIP
« on: Sep 25, 2006, 06:58 PM »
A bunch of us went up north to a freinds camp and did some site seeing.

Here's the transportation.

Part way along the trip, one of the guys lost his clutch. There were enough of us that we lifted the jeep to get at the problem area easier. We had one jeep behind it so it wouldn't go all of the way over, and drove another one under it to hold it up.

We stopped in a small gravel pit and had lunch.

Saw a cow moose on the way back to camp. Drove all day through back roads without  seeing any wild life, and then see the moose on a paved road.  ???

Here's a pic along one of the trails the next day.

A slight miss-hap along the way, three other jeeps had already crossed with no problem.

We winched him off the bridge and kept going. A short while later one of the guys motor mount broke. We ended up towing him back.
It was a great weekend. We've been going to this area for a few years now.
This is how we transport the jeeps.

I took a ton of pictures, way too many to post.
We plan to do it all again next year.

very cool, and a good selection of pictures. Thanks for sharing.
Did you get any more good while on the trail picture?
Fishing isn't a matter of life or death, it's much more important than that!

I live with FEAR everyday, and sometimes she lets me go fishing!

Mostly just hamburgers and hotdogs. One pan of green peppers and onions. Ya, a few of these guys drink Milwakees Best, it's a cheep utility beer.  ;D I usually have some on hand for outdoor work on hot days.

Yes, I'll post a few more. Some came out a little fuzzy.

Here's what's under one of the lids, Fairgin

And here are a couple showing some of the fall colors

This guy had to get himself between a rock and a hard place just so he could try out his new winch. It doesn't look too bad in the pic, but there are some good size rocks under him that he's hung up on.

All for now.  ;D

That looks like a fun trip! It would of been better if you were all going to a remote lake for some fishing, though!  ;D

Looks like a blast. My bud and I hit a few trails like that with a group of about 2 to 4 jeeps, never that many though! That would be a blast. Great pics

If it can't be done in a JEEP, it can't be done!
