Hot lures for 2007?
« on: May 02, 2007, 01:47 AM »
Hi all,

What is your must have / hot lure for the 2007 season?

I purchased one of the new Rapala shad minnows and Storms Live Goby, I think it's good look alike for a baby sculpin or burbot.
I can't wait to try them out on the pike and walleye. ;D

I would also like to purchase the new Storm Mad Flash. :)

I also need to replace my Rebel wee frog that was lost last season. ::)

I thought you were looking for just one lure :rotflol: I think that there is so many good lures out that it would be hard to pick just one.

You have to let me know how that new Rapala works.
Does it also come in a shallow version?

Rapala Minnow Rap. They are outstanding walleye lures especially the "new" bleeding colors.

These new baits catch fish, but I think there are other lures that work better in the same situations.  The one time I use them on the Go To is when im fishing shallow grass flats 3-5 feet deep. Early in the season it is killer on aggressive bass.

LOL, let me refraze that carpcatcher, Hot New Lures. ;D

The minnow rap I purchased was bleeding copper.
I thought the copper might be similar to a young walleye. :-\

I bought a few of the new "side thriller" suicks, in perch, walleye and sucker.
Seven days without fishing, makes one weak.

The chatterbait is pretty killer on some days. It was like hit or miss, some days i would catch fish and some days i wouldnt. but i only have one color so that might have something to do with it.

I want to get some Lunker City Salt Shakers in 6'' for the pike. I fear I may have to head down to Thorne Bros. to get them. NO ONE carries specialty pike and muskie stuff except them.
