Wicked Weekend!

Stugeon fishing=fun! ;D ;D ;D

They jump, run, and fight as much as you hope!
Ill get rite to the pix:






Heres my biggest -length of 7'2"- girth of 3'8"= MONSTER!
-Cropped the other peoples faces cuz im not sure if they'd like me putting their faces online!


What a wicked weekend-after playin them beasts itll be hard to go back to the "lil guys"..

Ain't that a rush. Now your spoiled. Get many tail walks where both sides of the river gets sprayed?
When I was younger and living in the bush by the Nechako river, I would go down there for a swim after a days work. I was standing in 4 feet of water and one rolled about 7 feet from me. Made the hair on my back stand up. You could see the ridges on its back as it made the slow roll.
Very cool fish.

Very nice fish! It looks like a awesome trip. Was it a guided trip or did you know someone down there?

ya pretty intense battles, definately WAY more fun then pan fry bows on the fly rod.. It was a guided fishing trip. Too bad we were'nt allowed to fish for them locally cuz they sure are fun.. :)

hehe.. they are sturgeon and are a protected species and is only catch and release. prehistoric fish-fossils dated back to the dinosaur dayz.. only certain areas you can fish for them in bc, rest is closed to fishing..

tho i do hear that sturgeon cavier is one of the most expensive fish available.. On vancouver island i hear there are sturgeon fish farms...
