nothing worse than a spoiled shore lunch.  :P :P :P sorry guys, but the best way is to dip fresh filets in egg wash, and then roll in cornflake crumbs. then its into the HUGE frying pan preheated with peanut oil and deepfryed in about 1 minute tops, and onto the plate with a cool wobbly pop. for a side plate, homefries ( canadian style)  potatoes with skin on, 1/8 thed and just before removing, dump 1/4 sliced onions in for ummmmmm flavor. season with lawry salt and dig in.............anyone for shorelunch?????? grump
  Hey Grump Whens dinner ;D

I guess I am many days late for the cookoff.  This is not for the coronary team.

Crush Rold Gold Pretzels with a rollingpin in a 1 gallon ziplock bag.
beat egg with Lowerys Season Salt added
Fry them up as usuall

I use Kentucky Kernel flour. I don't like heavy breading and I just wet the fish with barley pop and roll it in the flour and deep fry it. YUMMMMMY

Walleye cooked in this manner are my lunch for the majority of winter.  Catch them in the morning, eat em' at lunch.  Doesn't get any better than that!!  At home it's either cornflakes or flour and crushed garlic croutons 50/50 seasoned to taste.  ;D :P
May your doorknobs smell of fish!!

Fried up some fish last weekend.  I tried crushed Cool Ranch Doritoes and I tried Italian bread crumbs.

The Doritoes made them taste like Doritoes.
The Italian bread crumbs were good,  but not enough for the wife to take away the fishy taste.  (there must be no fish taste at all for her)

The crushed pretzels are still my #1 favorite!!!

Here is my last minute addition to this post. I love to use salad croutons,( we by ceasar crouotons or garlic and cheese) and throw them in the food processor with some pepper. they come out a little finer then bread crumbs and a hell ov a lot tastier. try em
