Nice buck Captjj and all. Funny how different the meat from Ohio deer is from our central NY deer. The Ohio guys called our deer "twig eaters".

Got a decent 6 point last Saturday morning. Tried to hold out for one of the bigger bucks we have on camera but running out of time with the bow and I'm getting hungry lol. Was an awesome hunt. Had 8 different deer walk by and passed on a spike and a 4 point before this guy came in and gave me a 12 yard shot. Put the muzzy through both lungs and watched him tip over after trotting 20 yards. It's been 3 years since I arrowed a deer to the day and I think 5 years since my last buck with the bow. Lots of deer passed on in that time as well.

Nice job findin em

Hey Bobby, no shame bro. Wonderful deer. The thing about Ar's looking to the future and passing a deer like that....... "let em go, let em grow" Look if all you want is a slammer, Do what makes you happy, personally its a who pisses farther contest as far as I'm concerned...... Enough has been said on the topic. I'm at the point where I'm less offended by the Elitists posting their beliefs than I am by Guys who want a good one, take a "Bad" one and apologize for it while posting about it. I ain't coming at you specifically, not in any way. But I see day after day someone post a deer and say " I know it's not the biggest...." Boils my blood bro. You took what you took, ZERO need to apologize. I've defended my choice to take my buck to the point where I'm sick. I wanted to take it, and so I did.

Nice shooting deadeyes n jj.  Hard to pass up opportunities towards the end of the season. Seems everyones scrambling to get their rifles sighted in this week.  Local gun club upset off a lot of ppl running a safety course this past weekend, and not allowing their members to use the range.  Been hearing about it all week from guys around town. Shoot straight.

I don't care how long I boil my archery tag, Friday night, I know it will NOT taste as good as the worst cut of meat from a nice little "tender" buck. It makes it a little easier because now my kids want some deer to eat, they really dont care what it looked like walking around. I still fight with myself, should I take him or hope for a bigger one tomorrow. For the last 2 years I eatten my bow tag and the taste is still in my mouth. Yuk.
