Casting for walleye? Didn’t the season close yesterday?

I was planning on going tomorrow night, then realized that yesterday was the 15th

Oh yeah I would get in mischief, I thought it was the 15th today as well. Too much hiding at the house, I don't know the day or the date half the time. :)

I feel you. I guess I need to be ready to smoke the corned beef and cabbage tomorrow, not wetting a line!

The first article here has some info on the health of the walleye fishery and the creel limit change. January 2022 is the target timeframe for that change.

Probably they will remain open until the ice goes out ? Then may be too late to get it to full pool ?  We will see.

I just sent a text to A friend of mine, who lives right there at the low side of the dam. He states the gates are all open. He also says that they will be open for a month or so more. Not what most of us want to hear.
