This is my first summer retired! I'm loving boat season way to much to think about icefishing 😀

Congrats Flukeman!

The best thing about the beginning of summer is that the days start getting shorter!  ;D

Still A lot of bugs in the lake but not nearly as bad as last year. The perch are stuffed with them.

Lots of flies on the surface but I still found a real good deep jig bite two nights ago and the same fish last night were snapping trolling but couldn’t get them to go jigging.

I hooked into a monster sturgeon two nights ago 10 minutes before last light. He came full body out of the water, as they tend to do, and had about the biggest girth I’ve seen on one. Even though I know better, I hoped to get my jig back but after 20 minutes finally just broke him off.

Got out Friday with a couple of friends, it was a slow go. Broke out a bottle of skunk off and sprayed everything down. Just then a nice perch came aboard, followed by a 19" eye. Love the skunk off!!
Saw the 109' Pershing yacht rock the lake with its 30' rooster tail.

Got out yesterday morn before the wind died. Started in 25'- 35' drift nothing, moved in to 8' -12' and found some active eyes around weeds. Hammer and worm are now my go to.

Got out with Shane tonight and fished from 6-9:30. We jigged bucktails and ended up with 16 eyes with 5 of them being keepers. Few that we tossed back were as close to 15 as you can get lol. Shane caught a beauty right at dark.

Nice job findin em
