Yikes Trapper....thanks for the update. Is that harbor a pier anchored floating setup? Been a few years since I was last there.

Was there fishing the weekend. The docks are floating with the rising water level. Wright’s is providing pallets and building wooden walk ways onto the docks which is a huge help.  Biggest headache is not having shore power to connect to our boats. Lots of generators running.
At least the salmon and browns don’t care! 😃

Nearly the wettest spring on record. All the lakeshore residents are crying for my tax dollars for break walls, repairs etc...etc....etc. Mostly they blame "Plan 2014" for the high levels and not good old Mother Nature.

Maybe it's global warming....or one of Trump's secret plots.

If it keeps up I'll start builidng Arks in the Little Wood Shop.

If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.

As always you can't teach common sense and they all forget  the number one rule ( MOTHER NATURE ALWAYS WINS )

From the 50's to the 70's our family had a cottage north of Lyndonville on Lake O. In the last 50 years more than 100' or shore line has disappeared along with that cottage and all the others in the cove. A neighbor had huge blocks of sandstone stacked for a breakwall.

It's all gravel at the bottom of the lake now.

Water runs down hill and 85% of it comes from Erie , must be the other 15%
I’ve lived near Lake Ontario my whole life and have seen lots of shore line erosion along the eastern basin

Let me know when you start taking orders Bob.  Our family cottage is on a concrete slab on Lake O near Rochester, close to the outlet.  When I was a boy there was so much beach that you had to wear flip flops in the summer to go for a swim to prevent the bottom of your feet from getting burned.  I would say 150'.  Now the lake is right up against the slab.  My grandfather (I believe) built the first cottage there well before WW II and had no idea the lake would rise several feet over the decades.  I agree there is probably no reason why the Feds should reimburse some of the costs for shoreline damages.  For many, like my brother, the "cottage" is his home and he is working as hard as he can to save it.  In the end, yes, mother nature always wins.  (Think Miami, NYC, ...)

I see on another website that they may have closed the launch now?

Secret plot by NYS (I know it is not a state launch) to raise the water, close all of the launches, less fish get caught, stocking numbers go down...

On a positive note, it definitely makes for better fishing. If you can get out.

The problem and answer is massena to open the gates on the st lawerance .....i was fishing by the marine museum  and the water is about a footvfrom going over the wall hope we  dont get a bad north west wind....this problem all started  with the  2014 water level plan  and instead of  both governments (us and  Canada) admitting it  is causing  flooding  they decide to  say  be patient it will work .....it will never work you have to let  the same amount of water out as comes in to stay at the same level .....the  joint commission screwed up
