« on: Oct 25, 2019, 06:01 PM »
Took my grandson gill fishing this morning.  We caught 34 very nice gills in 28-34 fow on crickets.  Fished for 3 hours.  He had a ball.

Great pics.  Keep them grandkids fishing.  On a recent trip to southern Ind. I saw so many young people (boys and girls) fishing from the shore, boats, yaks and paddle boats.  You could tell you were down south as the kids were outside playing versus the kids up north playing on the electronic devices.

Gr8 catch and will be gr8 memories. They'll last your grandson for every. I see your avitar is a gill on the ice do you take him icefishing, that's a blast for kids. I remember my gramps taking me icefishin back in the 60's some of the best times on my life.

BTW, did you catch them the same depth as your post a couple weeks ago, you said bottom to about 5 feet off bottom. Did you use slip bobber or just drop a line over the edge.
I'm a "Born in Ind" Redneck and proud of it

They were deeper this time.  28-34 fow.  No bobbers, just over the side of boat.  About the same distance off bottom.  I have only ice fished once in the last 2 years because of my wife health but I did have him on the ice one time.  Hopefully this winter will be different and I can get him out a few times.
