Which lake.
There a few dozen in Cass County.
My best friend lives in Dowagiac on Cherrygrove.

I think at the mac bridge is around 4 weeks behind us in weather timing aprox..  should be about 4 to 5 weeks before your fishing soft water.. ours really started last week so it should be real soon .. lake huron is full open small lakes like kensington is still covered thin layer of ice cause of temps but for sure ice season is over..

Scratch that just looked up cass county I am sure the pier heads are ready to fish like michigan city or  st joe benton  harbor etc.. same with the rivers snow melt has them running high though.. and a little stained but should make for great fishing for steel head.  Perch, blue gills and crappie should already be waiting in the shallow water bays like marinas that warm fastest.. in the spring sun shine.. any how it's spring in michigan time to fish or hunt morel mushrooms and I chose to fish.. still a tad cold to mushroom hunt yet..
