It's a 30 acre water supply reservoir. It gets no pressure from boaters (electrics only) except for me, pretty much. It's only 15 years old, and the bass it produces are BIG! I believe it can produce a state record...it's got all the forage a bass could ever want (cray fish, golden shiners, sunnies, perch). Theres a 10 lber swimming in there, I know it! ;D I just have to find it!

got em, did you not read fat boys articule. As long as you aren't harvesting bass out of season, spring time pre-spawn, spawn, and post spawn are a great time to catch a nice one.

Harvest, catching and eating, if you are releasing them  :D , had you ever caught a bass on the ice, there out of season. oh yea, you are jigging for perch not bass, is that it? Leave the kid alone, you have never caught a fish out of season.
To C&R is to C&R and not harm the fish, if in season or not.

Jeeze...I didn't intend on starting an argument ::) Hopefully the proposal for a year-round C&R season in NY goes through, I want to hit more waters...I know a few that have some MONSTERS, along with a lot of 4-6 #ers.

Zach, why not get together a petition and get MFF and Iceshanty members (and anyone else that you can get to sign) to join you in fighting that ridiculous NY law?  The more people you get, the better chance you have.

Got em is right though, the regs are pretty specific.  It's against the law, no doubt, even catch and release.  It's awfully hard to prove though.  Very ridiculous.  I couldn't believe it when I saw it!  Catch and release is the future, not banning the fishing.  Harrumph, harrumph...this could be headed for the GOMB! ;D  I guess that if there are other species worth targeting, it can keep you busy while they are bedding, but jeez!  Down here, we have walleye and stripers to keep us busy, and crappie too.  But, there are always bass that aren't on beds somewhere in the lake that will hit, and it's legal down here.  I feel very priviledged to live in Maryland!  I never ever thought that I'd say that we weren't over regulated down here!!!!!  Uh oh...I think I've got a good complaint type thread in mind!
