has been one of my favorites since the days of Procol Harum !
Unfortunately, as great as a player he is, none of his music will ever be the same since the passing of lead singer/bass player James Dewar in 2002  :-\     He also died on my birthday  :-\
This is Dewar on the classic Bridge of Sighs hit , "Too Rolling Stoned"
Now here's a song that those jam band types would love to call their own and could make every hippie chic with braided arm pit hair and a bad case of fleas, spin around like a pinwheel  ;D

Saw 3 shows with Warren singing lead for the Dead and after the second show all I could think of was Allman Bros or Govt Mule....    :P
He is great at what he does...

Here is one I bet KP has jammed to..

Im still all confused about the Warren Haynes stuff...  Gov't Mule was once something other then a jamband?

I must have missed that era, but I haven't missed any Mule shows within 200mi of me since the mid-90s.

Warren is a tremendous musician, and the guy knows and plays with EVERYONE, it seems.  He is a workhorse of the jam scene.

(That said, I didn't love him in The Dead either... Except for a few rockin' "Sugarees" here and there.  He ruled that one)
