has been one of my favorites since the days of Procol Harum ! 
   Unfortunately, as great as a player he is, none of his music will ever be the same since the passing of lead singer/bass player James Dewar in 2002       He also died on my birthday

He is great at what he does...

Im still all confused about the Warren Haynes stuff...  Gov't Mule was once something other then a jamband?

I must have missed that era, but I haven't missed any Mule shows within 200mi of me since the mid-90s.

Warren is a tremendous musician, and the guy knows and plays with EVERYONE, it seems.  He is a workhorse of the jam scene.

(That said, I didn't love him in The Dead either... Except for a few rockin' "Sugarees" here and there.  He ruled that one)
