Hijacked Posts

One of the features I really like here is the "show new replies". But with all the posts that get hijakced or just go way off topic...I would like to see a feature that would remove that post from popping up in the "show new replies" section.

So if you post on a thread and then as itgoes way off topic and you decide you dont want to keep reading it or viewing it, then you could get rid of it like spam

that is a tough one. 
And it is tough enough for us mods to start deleting all the off topic posts, too.
If it is in a general board as long as it isn't verbally offensive or a person attack on someone, that is fine.
Now if it is in a C&R board and it is totally off topic, then we start moving and deleting.
And sometimes we let specific topics ride in the general boards for a while too, then they start getting moved to the specific topic boards. 
this is a tough call, bud.
