Saw an eagle on my walk this morning. Seems early for them to be back around.
If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.

I have seen a flock of crows and had an eagle fly past me within 20 yards last week while ice fishing , also a heron

Took a ride today close to home, found two owls already in courtship mode and an eagle next door protecting its huge nest (probably from the owls). Also, the bluebirds are chasing each other around, was sitting in a batch of 30 or more dancing the other day. Last, I've never seen so many Canada Geese already in the Hudson River corridor.

Mr and Mrs Owl:

The eagle next to the owls:

Lots of bluebirds:

Thanks for the comments, since I haven't wet a line since mid-November (no ice, rivers high), I've taken to hiking and some bird watching to get some needed exercise during the winter months. Taking the "road less traveled" so to speak.

Heard the first red wing blackbird today.  Also watched a red-tailed hawk swoop down and pick up a snake , pretty kool.

Saw a few on my walk this morning. By tonight, they’re gonna be wondering “what the heck was I thinking”!

This critter has been hanging around our feeders.

It’s either a Coopers or Sharp Shinned hawk.
