Catskills are a big area. I could help if you narrowed in down a little like what county are you in

thanks all for info :D :D

You must keep in mind that it is very early into the season. Also many of the lakes in that area are row boat only with many rules. That being said, there are many lakes within a 2/3 hour drive that are very good bodies of water to fish. ( Saratoga, Sacandaga, Round Lake) You will find those and many more on this site to get you on the water...Good Luck...h2l

Anybody been fishing Rio? I'm planning a trip this weekend. Any catching info would be appreciated. Lou

I fished Rio this past weekend 5/28. WE caught an assortment of fish, smallmouth bass ,walleye, catfish, perch, rock bass and a bluegill that hit a shiner. we were hoping to find some trout. All fish were caught on sawbellies or shiners. Maybe next time. Lou

Was it a catfish or bullhead

I don't care either way, it wasn't what I was looking for.
