Holy! I saw an 11 pound Splake from a Frost Pond this weekend making its rounds on the www. Possibly the same one and they came out the golden road to Greenville?

Well, if it's really 11 lbs it's a new state record! Incredible fish!

Great splake and new state record if certified, Paquette's record held for 25 years prior.

I believe the Splake was certified and is considered the new record.

Holy crap that’s a big brookie! Even if it’s a splake that’s still a beast.

Wow sure looks like a brook trout to me.  They must look really close.

Taxidermist.  ;D

And I also hatch and raise trout for living and I'm a fisheries science graduate. Here's one of mine and I've produced 6 over 6 pounds so far.

Not questioning if it's a splake. Just saying it looks like a lot like a brook trout to me.

Of course it is brook X  lake trout and will look similar.
