If you see something say something. . Friend or not their poaching. . ethnic associated. . Well may not. . But . .  ::)
I would never rat out a friend.  Leave them to their non-ethical activity and move on.

Exactly Trapp. And it is a real big problem on the Niagara. I would very much like to see the restaurants in Toronto targeted along with their public market. I doubt that much of these fish are sold here but I could be wrong. But I don't doubt that a lot of it goes to the Canada side of our border. I have seen it personally.

common knowledge   the Russians  pay big money  for the  eggs  and fish too ......trouble  is  while they are  ripping salmon out they take  walleyes   browns and  rainbows  with them  ..... I think local  police  should help enforce  these laws too  .... or troopers  ...it's  new  York state  laws  shouldn't all police enforce them ????

Nor mine.  The level of "poaching" you guys see and talk about is way above anything I'd ever see anyone I know or associate with would be involved in.

I'm couldn't call a person that poaches a friend - so I can't say turning them in ratting a 'friend' out.  Its turning in a poacher.

Different cultures my friend. People who are used to buying groceries for a family on $15 a week will make use of any food source. And use it well.

It's hard to relate from a fat and happy American way of life.

I'm not sure if that is the case here (it could be) - my guess is they have to be selling that amount of fish, not harvesting them to eat and feed their family.  If they don't want to abide by our laws they need to go back to their own country (assuming they aren't American citizens).

Easy to say guys....not easy to do. He's never done anything illegal when I was with him, but I know what goes on. Things are not always black and white.

If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.
