Yo Guys & Gals,

Nothing but sheepsheads. I am striking out on the Walleye keepers. Nothing but smalls and sheepsheads. Got to say, hooking into the sheepsheads, you know you got a fish on however. Lots of fun getting them to the boat. I ain't exactly filling the freezer with eyes. Need a good partner to develop a little finesse I guess.

Thanks Bobby.

Word is that Chow's ride is fixed and he is giving new meaning to the phrase "smoking salmon".  :thumbup_smilie:

Great job guys!

X2 on the blueberries. I have been picking a lot of wild ones.

I got the 5 year old out on the big lake today for salmon. We ended up going 5/8, 2 skippy kings, a 1 year old king, a decent coho, and a steelie.

Just before we pulled the rods he asked if he could toss in a piece of cookie to get the fish to bite. 1 minute after he tossed it in his rigger goes off and a steelie starts doing the tail dance!!! He brought that one in on his own. We got a good laugh out of that!   ;D

That is just awesome bud!

I did get  the boat back Thursday night and headed to the big lake yesterday. Trolled for 12 hours and caught a bunch of fish but dumped the only really big one. Still a lot of fun with a few pretty crazy flurries trying to handle doubles on my own.

The boat ran well. Had a good chop going in the morning but I wanted to see how the boat would handle it so I made the run to the deep water at 55mph. Got a bit squirrelly between the chop and crossing those big boat wakes so on the way in I threw on a pfd and had flatter seas. Skipped along at 60. Gonna take me a bit longer to get used to doing that on water but nice to know I can get around in a hurry if I need to.
