This thread has been a little dull of late.  Needs some pics.  Haven't spent much time on Oneida this year and most of that time has been in the dark.  The daytime bite has been pretty mediocre for me when I've gone.

Spent the last 3 out of 4 weekends on the big lake.  Been slow there too, but I have managed to scrape up 13 eyes so far.  My partner has about an equal share too.  Here's a few pics from those outings.

accidental smallie.  That one went 6.41 lbs

This was 11.11 lbs.  Pretty big for this time of year.  Usually don't see them getting this healthy again until August.  Think this one was probably pre-spawn even though it was last weekend.

Nice Eyes Kingfisher  :clapping:

Speaking of gobies........OC Sheriff's divers did a training dive the end of last month on an old sunken barge off Sylvan Beach in about 20 fow. The barge was covered with 100's of gobies from 1" - 4" in size!!! No wonder the fishing is tough  :-\

WOW Kingfisher! Green and gold...my 2 favorite colors, really. ;D

Nice BIG eyes too, fun to reel in...C&R?

and that BIG smallie deserves to be hangin around with those big eyez. 8)

Good job man

Oh yeah, on a lighter note. I saw a little white decoy in your boat...made me remember that I always wanted to use a Seagull decoy for a marker...

no one would even think it was a marker and they'd just drive right by my spots, lmao. ;)

Thanks everybody.

All released to swim another day.

The seagull decoy gets used more for perch fishing than anything else.  Perch fisherman can be the worst!   No boats around us for miles on the big lake - didn't really have to worry about anybody crowding our spots.

...and that sure is a Cabela's net.  Good net, a little heavy, but pretty durable.  Only problem I have it with them is when somebody drops 'em overboard.
