Just thought I'd throw this out there...there will be another Sportsman's Flea Market at Wildwood Sports Center in Elbridge this coming Sunday the 18th from 10 am to 4 pm...open to buyers and sellers of course. $10 a table...

I hope some of you can make it...hunting, fishing, food and beer...what else does a guy need to enjoy himself? Well... :-\

Better yet...here's a link to copy and paste in your browser...

I'm getting 2 tables Fred, so I'll be bringing a large variety of stuff and more... :o
from ice to open water to treestand and back again
with lots of stuff in between. Some stuff new and some like new and hardly used.
I'll be there to sell it and not take it home... ::)
I hope you and some of the guys can stop by, you don't have to buy a thing from me.
There was lots of interesting vendors there in the spring...
I'll be donating a wingbone turkey call with a scrimshawed feather on it
with a lanyard that I make from the bones of wild birds.
So if you guys are bored and the bite is still off, stop buy...did I just say that, lmao ;D

Then again, there isn't much talking going on here...I think something is going on...><{{{;>

Have been up here pounding it for 2 days. Nothing but big sheepshead and scattered perch (small) out of Godfrey. Got one more day then I'm headed home, tough tough bite out there for me. I'm not a local but I spend a lot of time up here and know the fishery well. Tough tough bite out here.

Us guys that fish the Southeast have had a tough time finding fish also. Seems the weed beds are smaller and less full this year. More and more of us are thinking that dissolved Oxygen may be the reason. Not only is the eye bite off so isn't pan bite as well as pickerel and bass. Hopefully this winter will make up for a slow summer. My wife dropped down a 2" gobie that was devoured by a perch, time to learn how to fish all over again.

I got for last night for the first time in a long time - 4 eyes between 17-20" and a couple nice smallmouth. I was going to go after perch but the guy at the bait store on Rt31 said that the guy he gets bait from had his ponds dry up! ..so I had to make due and fish for eyes and bass. Fish were shallow from 4-12ft , caught on jerkbaits at dusk. Water is still 76 F.  Check the stomachs on all of them, no gobbies or bait of any kind in them.
shut up and fish

Filet....did you have a time period this year when it was an easy bit? My easy bite started diminishing torwads july of last year. My last two outings i have dumped two nice wallys right next to the boat and there were tears in my eyes! Ive been having fun with some bass tho
