I got for last night for the first time in a long time - 4 eyes between 17-20" and a couple nice smallmouth. I was going to go after perch but the guy at the bait store on Rt31 said that the guy he gets bait from had his ponds dry up! ..so I had to make due and fish for eyes and bass. Fish were shallow from 4-12ft , caught on jerkbaits at dusk. Water is still 76 F.  Check the stomachs on all of them, no gobbies or bait of any kind in them.
Good info, thanks.  ;D

Tough last day out there. Had to work for them, out of Godfrey again. Early perch bite until noon, picked up a lot of short eyes, maybe a dozen perch, 2 keeper eyes at 2 different locations. Everything shallow, under 15 fow, and the eyes of all the time to bite came at high noon. Strange bite this trip, worth the effort though, needed to get away from the city desperately. Guess I will leave them for now you local guys, see you when the water temp drops.

Yo Freddy,

Thanks for the laugh bud. I haven't been on Oneida since late June. I have been filling the freezer with them Cayuga perch.  I'm ready to come back to Oneida for some evening fishing though. I'm afraid of the dark so I was hoping to get you and the smurf to protect me from the boogyman.  :w00t: :w00t: :w00t: :w00t:
