Here's the real skinny on our morning out on Oneida. Glad there were no pictures. Eddy smoked me. He got the first, the biggest and the most. We pretty much stayed at the west end and he is much more familiar with that end. Still, he smoked me. hats off.

However, let's continue the real story. At noon, Eddy had to go so he and Lisa  could attend a party. Imagine that, party over fishing ::) ::). Anyway, I drop Eddy off at the dock at Oneida shores with his gear and the cooler full of perch. We shook hands and I went back out to the east end to try some bottom bouncers and some jigging. As most of you have offered, the action was pretty dismal. Actually caught a gobbie on the bottom bouncer and that was all I got for my afternoon out. Got back to the dock about 4:30 and there on the dock sat Eddy's white cooler. At least I thought it was his. I opened it and yup , it was his with our perch and his empty Arizona tea. bottle. Can't believe it was still there. Says a lot about us fishermen eh?

So guys and gals, if he tells you he will snap some pictures of those perch we caught he will have to come over to my house and you all know, I don't do pictures. Methinks it was all a clever plan on his part to let me clean his fish for him. What do you think? :nono: :nono: :nono:

Well if he left a cooler with fish in it , I would take it that he wanted you to have them , but I would return his cooler 👍

No problem, Eddy always puts bags of ice in his cooler. They were nice and fresh this morning. I forgot the best part. I got to spend some time with my old fishing partner. I know it is hard for you younger guys to get away and fish with your older buddies who are retired. It is much the same with my own children and grand kids. They are too busy with the everyday responsibility of work and raising families of there own.  Color me grateful for all opportunities to fish with my old friends (and young friends). Thanks Eddy and thank you Lisa for letting the dog out.

Also found the perch starting to cooperate, with some pumpkin seeds mixed in. Nice wind for drifting. Good to get out. The yellow stinger bee performed admirably.   ;D
