Good advice FR We know how unevenly that lake freezes I often see gas holes where there were none previously. A good rule is to stay near someone else tracks weather walking or riding.
Never gave that a thought duh , your right on you can follow tracks out then branch off from there and just don't drill holes in the path if it floods kinda screws others especially walkers

Yo Guys,

The ultimate safe ice approach is to stay home and watch old Doris day movies on Time Warner or,  tried and true,  nothing replaces good judgement and spud spud spud. Let's all stay on top this year. Almost lost my best bud last year. Sometimes we all get a little too eager to get out and play.  Freddy, as always, gives great advise even if he does like Doris Day movies.

Yo Guys and Gals,

That's it for me. I winterized the Larson 3 weeks ago. I did get the Otter Stealth out Tuesday for my last jaunt up at Goose bay but put all the canoes, kayaks and rowables up for the winter. I will be switching over to IS till spring. I Had my best perch year ever on Oneida and the worst walleye season ever. I hope to find some of them perch will stay around for hard water and I am praying for good ice on Oneida this winter. We got some cold overnights next week, should get us on BB at least. Think cold, and may the wind keep the ice clean.
Tite Lines---- Boggey off for the winter.

I fished the wall for a few hours yesterday afternoon.  Didn't catch a thing, didn't see anyone catch anything either.  The bay in front of marion manor had ice out to a few hundred yards.  It won't be long.

F&R with those spots closed it will increase traffic in some of the other popular spots for sure and for walkers it sucks that Lewis is closed

I agree completely, but people are their own worst enemy as we know , few disrespectful people ruin it for the rest
