Way to go Freddie! Glad you caught some fish on the ride home. Thanks for stopping down, it was good to see ya and thanks for the fungus. ;D

I could use some wild turkey wings this season if any of you guys don't use them. Most guys just throw them away. Don't break the bones...
If you cut the 2 tendons at the shoulder ball and socket joint and then bend and twist the wing then cut a bit more and it will come right off.
If the feathers are ruffled, try to straighten them out and wipe off any blood. Then just fold them up and put them in a plastic bag and freeze them.

A good friend of mine who has since gone blind due to Gloucoma used to make wild turkey wing fletches for arrows out of the primary feathers...
I haven't learned that skill yet; but would like to try that also...So, I'll get them from you whenever, I'd appreciate it...
I can't deal with rotten ones :o :P , so please freeze.
Thanks, Doug

Me too, I had a good response when I used it. Several guys liked them...It wasn't a real good buying crowd for some reason. Maybe the good weather and the holiday had something to do with it. All the vendors said last years sale was super...just kinda slow, that's all.
There must be lots of turkeys in those hills around there to by the way. Nice country for sure.

lets see if I remember how to do this...Hey I did it after only 2 tries... ::)

Got out for bullheads and sunnies tonight with my best buddy Lil Deadeyez, my brother, my nephew, and two other buddies. It was first time I have got out since last Monday night due to a battle with a 8mmx6mm kidney stone (still haven't passed it). We ended up doing pretty good on the bullheads and my boy and my nephew blistered the sunnies!  Was a beautiful night to be out and awesome that the kids had a great night catching some fish. Good stuff!!
Nice job findin em
