I've caught a lot of eyes but never seen one inhale a lipless crank like this one did in 9 FOW.

Great looking eye! Thanks for posting the pic. That must have crushed that crankbait!  I tried for an hour last night. Missed a beauty twice on two passes and saw a handful more. That was my second time out this season. Back at it this week to try to break the slump
Nice job findin em

Thanks everyone. What baffles me most is that my top 3 Oneida eyes have all come on crankbaits in less than 12 FOW. 2 of the 3 in midday. To me it goes against everything I thought I knew about Walleyes.

I am no pro by any means... but what i have learned about fishing walleye is simply this.... there is no place too deep, too dark, too bright, too shallow to find eyes... just when you think youd NEVER catch an eye "over there" is just when you'll limit out "over there".
I have caught nice fish high noon sun shining in 3ft of water pitching jigs into red brush in Crystal clear water

 Nice fish Ryanrobb!
Took the new Lund out Saturday for a wash down, yeah a little wet out but not bad other wise. I've had the boat out three times now, and it's rained every time. Found a nice batch of jumbos that wanted to see the boat, but the eyes didn't want to play. Not much traffic out there for the weekend. Felt good to have a rod in hand!

Very quiet at ramp yesterday morning. One keeper eye on blade in 14' dropped another but did find a pile of perch to keep things positive out deep. Coughing up 2" perch. Off before the storm hit.

Is the Marion Manor launch still open?  If so, what is the fee?  Thanks.

Yes it's open. Last year it was $10 a dunk, I think.   :o
