Hey Freezer if you are staying in Cleveland first step would be to hit up Apps bait shop drop a few bucks on bait and they will for sure point you in the right direction very knowledgeable and they have the baits that work best its my first stop every fishing trip soft or hard water

Had an interesting day yesterday and ran into some great guys on the lake.

We went out early Friday morning and were jigging blades west of Lewis. Point.  We weren't having much luck, but the boat next to us was pulling in eyes one after another.  They must have noticed us watching them and the guys called out what they were using, "blue and silver jigging rapalas."  Of course, we didn't have any with us.

The guys then came over to our boat and GAVE us 3 jigs.  Free, just gave them to us.

The weather turned and it got very windy, so we had to go back in.  Last night, the weather broke at around 7pm, and with the sun shining, we went back out for about an hour using those jigging rapalas.

It was the best 1 hour stretch my friend and I have ever had on the lake.  A bunch of walleye and perch.  They were hitting the jigs steady.

I don't know if the guys who helped us are on this site, but if you are, you know who you are.  :-)

Thank you so much, you made our day and gave us some great tips.  Thank you, thank you, thank you!!
