Well I got my butt handed to me yesterday on Ontario with dad. Dragged 4 lines around from 10:30-16:00 and got one laker to show for it. Took dad out again today. This time on Oneida. 10:00-13:00 did a limit of fat eyes, a couple of monster pickerel, a bass and some nice perch, 10-12". A lot better for a midday run, that's for sure. And a lot of big fish on Oneida this year. Eyes aren't any longer than usual but definitely chunkier. Everything else seems upsized.

No jumping from that one but I have had many of them jump in the past. Sometimes they walk on water like a steelhead.

I've noticed all the fish are a lil fatter on oneida this year, but there is a lot of bait in the lake

The fish sure seem to be beefier this year noticed it in the hatchery all the fish were solid looking.  Must be feeding heavily on the gobies. Maybe they"re good for something.

Fished Monday evening 5-8 with my Gramps. Fished out of the south shore boat launch. Went out into the 30-35 ft range pulling around worm harnesses. Ended up with 3 keeper eyes, a few sheeps, and a ton of 7 inch perch. Another 2-3" and they would have been in the livewell. I've gotten a lot more perch walleye fishing this year than in years past. Probably going to take Gramps out again in a different area tomorrow and try to find some better walleye grounds.

I got out the last 2 evenings. Spent most of the first one battling a sturgeon that, after giving me a couple of awesome jumps and about an hour chasing it with the trolling motor, finally broke me off as I was holding it next to the boat trying to get the hook out. After that went shallow and got 4 keeper eyes and a couple of stinking pickerel.

Last night was a slamfest shallow from about 19:00-20:00. Probably close to 20 fish in an hour. 7 nice eyes and the rest smallies. The eyes, of course, came all together in a bunch to start and then I lost them but continued to play with the bass.

The eyes I filleted yesterday had empty stomachs.

Nicely done Chow!
