Got back out last evening for some jigging with the guys , started out really slow and just as if somebody hit the switch they were on absolute fire ,
weather was nice with a pleasant breeze , but the lake seems to be turning that green color , time will tell how bad but for now the beaches are touch and go , they were testing the water yesterday at Taft according to Bobby , let's hope they can stay open for the kids sake

Nice. It was slow but steady for me. Tested electronics on the new rig in the morning but took some casts and hit a couple of bass and a keeper eye. Then took Dad out in the evening. Got a few keepers jigging deep and then moved shallow and got a few more and a nice smallie. Deep fish were inhaling the jig. Needed the forceps for every one.

The middle of the lake was as packed as I've ever seen it yesterday morning. Solid boats as far as the eye could see in both directions out from Godfrey. Apparently the word is out. Looked like the first Saturday in May out there.

Release must have gotten ahold of that bass.  ;D

Got out tonight with my father in law. Man it was hot. We trolled up some eyes. Then towards sunset we moved in shallow and caught some more eyes and smallmouth. Some of the smallies were tanks. We had a lot of fun and he left with a cooler full of fish.  :thumbup_smilie:

Yeah. I think maybe Release introduced that bass to the bottom of the ice a couple of years ago.

Sounds like a great night, Bruce. Congrats! I'll be out for a troll tomorrow.
