Oneida Bullheads

Hi Guys.
Hope all is well with everyone.

I have heard before that right after ice out can be a good time to fish for Oneida Lake bullheads.
Can anyone confirm?

Some say bullhead season doesn't peak till the lilacs bloom.
Anyways, I hope to get a mess of those yellow bellies.

Peak bite is when the oak leaves are the size of a squirrels ear.

Yep. Hunt morels during the day. Hunt bullheads at night.

I checked Scriba creek tonight with the boys. We didn’t see any eyes in there yet. The water is very low.

I just checked their website. It didn’t say anything until I hit the online registration and then a message popped up that said due to the Coronavirus the registrations for the tournament have been suspended for the time being. It also said check back in a few days for updates. Then I googled it and saw their FB post This really stinks. I look forward to the tournament every year. I’ll still be out like a lot of you guys.
Nice job findin em

Looks like a little confinement to the streams will be in order Freddie. 😎
