Got beat up today again, little boat is out, other boat is in. Ready for the weekend, the weather all week is gonna be crap, so little boat is out of the question. Missed the perch completely this year, I dunno about the pannies, water temp in main lake was 52 in spots. I actually got work this week, so money is good, need bait. :)

And 1-3" of rain next few days to help clear the creeks out. Hopefully they are wrong as usual and we just get a little of what is forecasted.

We had to drive into the lift yesterday the lake is so low. Panfish really can't get where they like to go to spawn if it is low too. I hope they aren't keeping the level low for the dock restoration. Could be weeks before they raise water levels. Gonna go get A flat of worms, walleye are easier and faster freezer filler. Lots of new fancy gear this year, them fishies are in trouble.

Just ordered some snap weights and planers. Any insight using these on Oneida? I'm thinking summer after the blade/jig bite dies and they suspend in the channel.
ease?
PITA?
Just another tool?

Just another tool.

I run them often. Not the easiest but not hard to run. I tend to run them with stick baits. The only downfall is floating weeds, they can make running boards a PITA.

I would try some big crank baits on those boards too.

Leadcore is by far my go to for Oneida trolling.

RZ is right lead core is my favorite trolling way ,the waves and wind make it dance lures in my opinion, one thing i do is ill grab lead under last eye one pole above reel and pull it fast when in fish (be careful not to tangle around eye )and slowly release bait stalls in water and they hammer it

I use snap weights with boards , and lead core , although lead is boring IMO but very affective

I am with you there......

I use bottom bouncers with harnesses....I found that Gulp crawlers do not get as marauded by the Gobies.

I also drag sticks off planers....

well changes I should say. Last year in tourneys we got killed later in the summer not switching to trolling. We caught fish on blades and jig but size matters. If just going for fun and food then jigging is by far my preference.
