All I know is trolling if i ever want to catch a walleye.   Never got one by jigging.  I watched a few YouTube videos about jigging, tried it, and nothing.  Does Oneida require anything special?

Aggressive snap jigging on Oneida. If you do that finessy stuff they do in the mid-west you'll usually be disappointed. That's how I started out and didn't start catching good numbers until I watched some of the regulars snapping it and got that down.

Gonna go out the next 2 mornings to get a few more for the freezer I hope. Probably going to troll, maybe poke around for perch if we get our 6 fast like. We won't waste gas trolling, everything is electrical. Also any mention of wasting gas, money on bait, or fishing stuff, or even A big boat is just blasphemy. Just saying.

I agree with ya Trapp!! Trolling not as fun as  jigging but it puts them in the boat in the tough summer months.  I got a few tonight jigging sonars.  Looking forward to trying to find some perch this fall

Thanks,
I checked few YouTube videos on snap jigging.   Will give it a world.  Now, what bate do I Use?  I have black and blue bucktail jigs, sonnars, and jigging raps.  Should I purchase anything else?  What about piece a nightcrawler or minnow head on the hook?
Thanks in advance.

I go bass fishing and can’t keep those nasty eyes away. Top water baits in shallow water, jerkbaits shallow and deep, a-rigs, swim baits, crank baits, chatterbaits, and, even football jigs with plastic craw trailers. Those eyes don’t care what’s for breakfast, lunch and dinner. When they’re hungry, they’ll eat most anything. We have a great fishery, in Mother Oneida!!😎🎣
