Got out with Shane for some late afternoon jigging , little lumpy but it did make the eyes fairly aggressive , we managed to get  our eyes ,few nice perch, and a couple sheep ,

Went out of Godfrey yesterday from 6:30 to 11:30 trolling deep.  Managed 5 keeper eyes, 12 shorts and 4 perch between two of us.  Dropped our two largest fish of the day right by the boat.  Had lots of short strikes as well.  Nice day to get out.

Finally got out for the 1st time this season.Found out I had hornets nest in trolling motor and in the battery compartment. Also had to macgyver my fish finder under the console.Nothing major for a splashdown cruise.Fished south east end.Trolled 30 to 35 for pulling crawler harnesses.Anything with blue out shined anything else we threw at them.Caught some shorts and 3 keepers. Some blue gill and perch.Didn’t mark as many as we usually do in that area but as it always seems to be there.11am to 1st was the most active.Kind of weird but that always seems to be the way it works there.

Anyone use a marine radio on Oneida? I've been toying with the idea of a handheld unit, just to be on the safe side. We always had big hard-wired units when fishing Ontario, but I never put one on the 1650 Rebel. Just curious...

Yea, cell phones are more the norm these days.
Especially on a small lake like Onieda.
Getting a decent cell signal isn't a problem.
Even out on Erie and Ontario you can get a decent signal.

Old photo from '17> We lost the old gal "Snickers The Dog" last Fall. She loved ice fishing best, but the live well kept her entertained aboard the boat on Oneida. Wife is talking about another pup...

Sorry to hear rugburn
Got out for some jigging , was pretty lumpy to start , weather was pleasant , the sun disappeared about 1.5 hrs early do to the smoke, I had trouble keeping them buttoned, 🤪 but we managed a decent box
