I’m glad you got out Fred. The water definitely came back up to summer levels fast.

Been years since I've been on here or fished oneida looking for some help on perch fishing. Tried to join the Facebook group for some reports but not been added. Just looking for general depths and if there's anywhere with Permanent docks to launch at. Thanks guys

I think the docks are out everywhere. I am not sure about Cove Road but I would assume they’re out too.

There were a lot of perch deep last month on the East end in 38’.

It's not the end of the world. Most places iv been fishing have no docks except cayuga I got waders lol. How's the perch fishing been is it worth over 2 hr drive?. Want to try something new thinking about Sunday just have no clue where to even start one guy told me 15 to 20 feet off drop off infront of oneida shores.

S112 from reports I’m getting perch-n has been pretty good west of Oneida why travel so far unless you have an itch that needs scratching , sorry I have no info
I took a ride last night and fished a few spots on the north shore , I managed to land 5 but only 2-16” keepers , all were very well fed , and 2 no longer have to work for a meal 😃

Closest place around me to get on perch would be on irondequoit still 1 hr 30 mins away kind of getting sick of there figured I'd try something new. I wished I lived in Rochester syracuse area so much opportunity fishing. Out this way I got lake erie for perch and good luck this time of year with that out there lol.

Where are you?
Wally13 has been getting some perch near the Black Rock Canal lock, on the north end of Unity (Bird) Island.
Send him a pm.
He doesn't post much here, but I know of nobody that fishes the upper river more than he does.

Also -
Years back my late buddy Scotty and I would do awesome on the Niagara River Power Rez.
I have a bunch of old threads buried here on MFF you can look up.
Also, Olcott harbor in the early winter is decent.
So are the Ponds and Braddock's Bay, just west of Rochester.
I have also fished Wilson Harbor and the pier for perch - I know they are in there, but I never did really good.

Lockport iv tried wilson Olcott and all that the past month no real luck. The power resvoir used to be good but i havent done well there in years its like alot of the local perch fishing isnt what it once was. Wilson i used to get many limits every year up 12 mile creek this year i have mainly been going to Irondequoit or cayuga for perch and doing ok there i Have always heard rumors of the lower river for perch to thought about trying it or the upper niagara river but this is probally gonna be my last time having the boat out for while so figuring I'll just head to cayuga iv done well there this fall and winds are looking pretty good.
