I want to try making that bread but I don’t have any yeast. someone told me you can use warm beer as a substitute? Anyone ever heard this or tried it?

I have a  few packs in the pantry . And 5 bags of different kinds of flour in the freezer.   She said  next time is whole wheat..  She use to yell at me for being a prepper.  Goes to show her,  once in over 30 years.    ;D

I'm prepping....just ate a PB&j with a side of chips. Now I'm going to get my bullhead gear ready. Tried the backyard stream this morning....nada. The canal is all messed up. They lowered the upstream water and flooded the downstream side of the lock in town. Everthing is just thick muddy water. I've been skunked for the past 3 days.

 So I'm heading for my favorite pond.

There's a nice ribeye in the fridge for dinner when I get home. Might be a consolation prize.

Doing country style ribs with homemade BBQ sauce on the Weber tonight. Going to make some green bean casserole to go with it.

There's taters and onions in parchment paper  on the Weber, fresh broccoli ready for the steamer and a ribeye patiently waiting to be seared to perfection.

Well...as perfectly  as I can sear it anyway.
 And ...yes, I did catch a bunch of bullhead.

So...how'd the bread turn out ?

Found a bargain on 10lbs of wings. Love having the turkey fryer ready to go. Now time to make garlic and butter sauce, bbq sauce and some traditional franks/butter sauce.

Made some sandwich rolls with an " everything " spice on top. Used a no knead recipe.  I hop hope they taste as good as they look
