Missouri trip (pic heavy)
« on: May 12, 2018, 05:14 PM »
Spent all of last week at Lake of the Ozarks and the bite was on! Water temp was right at 60 on the main lake and 63 to 65 degrees in the coves. Air temp upper 70s to low 80s all 6 days. The crappie were spawning on the banks in 2 to 6 ftw and we just hammered em on 1/16 oz roadrunners. Everytime we swung around a dock to hit the next bank I grabbed my bass rod and tossed a rapala x rap along the sides of it and caught countless largemouth and spotted  bass doing this. Saw a handful of bass on beds but they were all males in that 13 to 15 inch range. There's 2 big dams down there, one on each end,  I hit those up too and the hybrids were in! Nothing fights like a hybrid. I actually have an entire fishing sleeve on my arm revolving around hybrid striper fishing. Anyway, I wanted some blue cats too but only got one....I go down  every November too and they're really on then. Big ones too. Saw a ton of monster gar, carp, and buffalo "doing it." My phones being stupid about the pictures right now, I'll get em up when I can

Look like all white crappies to me. The darker ones of course are males.
