1-PIECE -  they are lighter and more sensitive.  For some reason, I break fewer 1pc then 2pc rods.  Go figure

Two piece. I can always fit them in vehicle when I travel.

I prefer 1 piece rods, I think they have better action. Most of the higher end rods that I buy only come in one piece anyway.

i voted for 1 piece. becuase i very rarley take any of my rods apart. exept for my surf rods wich are 8 feet. and wont fit in the car.

my sentiments exactly!!!!! i bought it to steelhead fish with, and find myself using it for everything short of an icefishing or downrigger rod

I refuse to buy a 2 piece rod. A one piece rod has more sensativaty, strength, and smooth action for fighting fish. There are no dead spots when setting hook and playing fish. There is no weak spot in a one piece for potential failure like a 2 piece at the joint.

Speaking of instant rods have you guys ever seen those Rocket Fishing Rods, they are advertising for the kids to use?
LOL, they look like a cross between a rod and a Nerf gun.

They don't look to have any shock or flex to them at all.

Anyone have any experience with them?

you wouldent say that with a nice high end rod. a 7 or 8 foot sure ill agree, but a 11 foot noodle rod one piece isnt practical.....


  and i wont even bring up a 5 or 6  piece 15 foot 2 handed spey fly rods
