That one was on a lure surprisingly. I casted out a 3/4oz crippled herring and threw it in a row holder to pick up stuff and tend to my other rod. It sat on the bottom for like 10 minutes then I went to pick it up and there was a fish on it. Must of been sitting on it lol.

Buddy was out there a couple of days ago.  I'll have to see how he did.

I have friends catching fish in the 30" range already.  In a couple weeks, especially with next weeks temps in the 80's, the run will start tailing off and the bass will head out of the hudson.

Parked 1 truck at gate 30 and the other truck at 35 this morning. Fished the shoreline from 30 to 35 throwing metals. 2 of us not even a hit. Saw 1 guy by the rook fighting 1 on bait but he lost it. Chu has been a tough fish for me so far this year. Boat should be ready this week. Time for some flounder.

Manny and I hit it Sunday morning in the rain and we did very well... I ended up fishing until about noon and i landed about 7 lakers, and lost a couple more.. Manny also landed about 5 or so on the day...Nobody else seemed to be as busy. Shiners on the bottom
